PoE

The 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt standards are always considered “active” PoE.

802.3af (PoE):

  • Voltage Range: Typically provides 44-57 volts.
  • Maximum Power per Port: Up to 15.4 watts, but only about 12.95 watts are guaranteed

802.3at (PoE+):

  • Voltage Range: typically 44-57 volts.
  • Maximum Power per Port: Up to 30 watts, with about 25.5 watts available at the powered device.

802.3bt (PoE++):

  • Maximum Power per Port: Up to 100 watts.
